5. Tavante Beckett, LB, Sr.
With Omari Cobb and Jaquan Yulee both gone, Beckett becomes both the on and off field leader of the linebacker group. The Va Tech transfer racked up 121 tackles last year and was named first team all-CUSA.

4. Josh Ball, OT, Sr.
The former Rivals 250 and Florida State tackle is starting to show why he was so highly thought of coming out of high school. Forgive Aaron P's rankings as he only had one offensive lineman in his top 20 (Alex Salguero).

3. Xavier Gaines, TE, Sr.
Gaines has come a long way since moving from QB to TE a few years ago. With Armani Levias graduated, Gaines is the clear-cut #1 tight end. If he can improve his hands/ball security he could be in for a huge senior season.

2. Brenden Knox RB, Jr.
Knox was C-USA's MVP last year after carrying the ball 270 times for 1,387 yards and 11 touchdowns. A chain-moving machine, Knox isn't the fastest or shiftiest back to ever play for MU, but he might just end up being the most productive.

1. Grant Wells, QB, Fr.
No explanation needed. The program badly need Wells to be the real-deal after the unexpected departure of two-year starter Isaiah Green. Behind Wells is a former walk-on and a true freshman, so things could go south quickly if Wells is not up for the challenge.
