Doc Holliday and his staff secured the signatures of 30 prospects as part of the 2018 recruiting class. As the spring semester gets going, Herd Nation wanted to get a better look at each of them from more of a “behind the scenes” perspective.

HN: What do you do in your spare time?
JR: Mainly I listen to podcasts, read and hang out with friends.

HN: What food do you like the best?
JR: I love Greek food and baklava.

HN: Do you have a favorite movie?
JR: Days of Thunder.

HN: What type of music do you listen to and who is your favorite musical artist?
JR: I listen to mostly Metal and country. My top two artists are Lamb of God and then Sturgill Simpson.

HN: Do you have a nickname?
JR: At my old school I had one but it can stay there haha!

HN: Do you have a major picked out yet?
JR: Transferring complicated some things, so as of now I am a finance major.

Thoughts and opinions

HN: Who is your favorite football player of all-time?
JR: Brett favre.

HN: Do you have a pre-game ritual?
JR: I listen to music and stay quiet.

HN: What position will you be playing at Marshall?
JR: Placekicker.

HN: What will you bring to Marshall as far as a strong point?
JR: Consistency and a leader by example.

HN: What is the one thing you need to work on to play at the next level?
JR: I need to continue to improve at my position every day. I will never be perfect, but that's what I'm chasing.

A look at the recruiting process

HN: What one thing was the determining factor in your picking Marshall?
JR: The Marshall coaching staff is the best of the best, I wanted to be coached by people like them.

HN: What are your thoughts on the Marshall coaching staff?
JR: Same answer as above.

HN: Is there a Marshall coach that you feel especially close to?
JR: I couldn't choose just one, but coach Treier recruited me here and has helped my transition, so I'm very thankful for him.

Future and goals

HN: What number would you like to wear at Marshall?
JR: Possibly 48 or a new number I'm not sure yet.

HN: What are your goals for your first year in college?
JR: Hit the ball straight and far consistently, the rest will take care of itself.

HN: What would you like to say to Marshall fans?
JR: We can't wait to make you all proud this upcoming season. Go Herd!
