How do I make my avatar work on Rivals?
The Rivals avatars must be 100 x 100 pixels. Any picture can be re-sized though.
Once the avatar is sized, post it to an appropriate site that will give you a URL and upload it.

What are the HTML codes to change fonts to bold or italic?
All of these are minus the quotes:
Bold: <"b>your text<"/b>
Italic: <"i>your text<"/i>

How to Post Images
There are two ways to post images. The first is in your signature (as most site users do, the signature is below the body of the post, and it appears after every post you make).
The second way to post an image is to post it in the body of a post, but the image will stay only with that post, although it is good if you need an image inside the actual body of the post.
The basic code for both is (img src="IMAGE ADDRESS")
But you must substitute < for ( and > for ), and also replace IMAGE ADDRESS with an actual address of an image.
When you have found a suitable image (it must be from a website/internet, it cannot be off your computer), right click over it to bring up a menu, click properties near the bottom of that menu, and it will bring up a new menu.
At this menu, highlight the address of the image (next to address) and copy it.
After this, you can simply insert the address into the basic code above, replacing IMAGE ADDRESS.
This is the process to post an image in the body of a post.
To make an actual signature, go to USER OPTIONS at the top right of the forum, and in the text box that deals with signature, simply input the basic code along with your image address and then go a little further down that page and click on the save button.
Some Helpful Tips:
To align an image in a certain manner (left justify, centered, or right justify, for example) before the basic code, type (p align="CENTER") or (p align="RIGHT"), again replacing the ( with < and ) with >.
To type text below an image, use either the paragraph tag (p) or break tag (br) after the basic code (again, replace the ( and ) with < and >.
So if you had an image of some swimsuit model and wanted to put text just below her saying 'what a hottie' do this-
(p align="CENTER")(img src="IMAGE ADDRESS")
(br)(p align="CENTER")What a hottie!
The difference between (p) and (br) is the (p) creates a full line break between text and text or text and image, just like a paragraph return. The (br) is a single return, with no white space or actual break between text and text or text and image.

How do I quote another post?
First, hit "REPLY" on the specific post you intend to quote. Once you've done that, before you type anything, look for the button with the QUOTATION MARKS. Once you click that, you should be able to see the formatting for the quote.
How do I access my profile to add avatars, signatures, etc?
Go to one of the message boards. Look for the link that says "User Options." It will be near the left side of your screen; slightly less than halfway down the page. It should be a green box with gray text.
How much will I be paying to access the site?
Rivals site access is free.
The Herd Nation forum is free. There are additional premium boards and multiple recruiting articles. The access fee for these is $9.95 per month.
So I can pay the 9.95 and get everything or do they have like a year long payment with a discount?
The annual fee is $99.96 ($8.33 per month).
Also, by prepaying you will automatically become a "Gold Member". Gold Members recieve the Rivals AMP service as well as text alerts and video access. You get access to thousands of recruit video highlights, and special features. If you are a recruiting junkie, it's a pretty cool service to actually see future players in action.

Why do avatars have to be so small?
This keeps others from having to scroll down a thread to get past large pictures. It also saves bandwidth to keep from slowing the site.
Why do we have to wait a minute before posting?
That and the waiting period are to stop automated spammers.
How do I add a horizontal line to my signature?
Minus the quotes use the code <"hr"> at the beginning of your signature (which can be changed in the "User Options" section - see above).

What about the 30 Days Free?
