Marshall: Over/Under 9 wins – OVER…..WAY OVER

Henry Colombi: Over/Under 2,750 passing yards – OVER, if my predictions are correct this will be in 15 games which will be less than 200 yards per game, even if the committee doesn’t appreciate our body of work and we only play 14 games, that is still less than 200 yards per game, so all good on this front. This number has only been passed twice since Cato left, last year by Grant Wells, and one season with Chase Litton.

Henry Colombi: Over/Under 20 passing TDs – OVER – I am going with over, even though it hasn’t been done since Litton did it in 2017. Did you know….Marshall only hit this number once from 2003 to 2011. Brian Anderson threw 20 on the nose in 2010.

Khalan Laborn: Over/Under 1,300 rushing yards – UNDER – I am going with under not because I doubt Laborn, but just because it has only been done 5 times at Marshall since 1995. Rasheen Ali, Brendon Knox, Devon Johnson, Ahmad Bradshaw and Chris Parker.

Khalan Laborn: Over/Under 12 touchdowns – UNDER, tough number, only four have done that since 2000, Ali, Johnson, Bradshaw and Earl Charles.

Corey Gammage: Over/Under 1,000 receiving yards – UNDER – Tough nut to crack it seems. Since 2002 when Marshall had THREE players with at least 993 yards (two over 1,000) There have only been two players (four seasons as one had three by himself) finish over 1,000 yards. Tommy Shuler did it three times, and Tyre Brady finished with 1,002 in 2018. Side note, blast from the past. In 2016, which wasn’t that long ago Marshall was led in receiving by Josh Knight and Michael Clark with 631 and 632 yards respectively.

Corey Gammage: Over/Under 8 touchdowns – OVER – Even though he has had issues finding the endzone in his career, I am going to play the odds here. Since 2000 Marshall has had a receiver with at least 8 touchdowns in 12 seasons.

Will we rush for over 2000 yards by committee? – YES – I answered this one quickly as I thought it was a slam dunk. Excluding the shortened COVID year, we have reach it three straight years, but last year we only passed it by 112 yards. Oddly, even throughout many good years, we only reached that mark twice from 1997 to 2011, and one year (2006) was only by 5 yards. Side note, we never reached 2,000 from 1997 to 2002.

Eli Neal: Over/Under 100 tackles - OVER

Abraham Beauplan: Over/Under 100 tackles - UNDER

Koby Cumberlander: Over/Under 6 sacks - UNDER

Steven Gilmore: Over/Under 5 Ints? - UNDER

Will we have a pick six? If so, who and what game? – Yes, Notre Dame, Charlie Gray

Will we return a kickoff for a touchdown? If so, who and what game? - NO

Marshall: Over/Under 9 wins -- Even. Marshall will match that number. Road losses to Notre Dame and Troy early in the season and a home loss to Appalachian State will be the only losses Marshall will see.

Henry Colombi: Over/Under 2,750 passing yards -- Over. I don’t know if we’ll match last year’s yardage numbers, but I do expect Colombi to surpass 2,750 yards passing during the 12-game schedule.

Henry Colombi: Over/Under 20 passing TDs -- Over. Coach Huff’s desire to throw the ball will give Colombi all the chances in the world to do so…and I think he will.

Khalan Laborn: Over/Under 1,300 rushing yards -- Under. With Rasheen Ali’s potential return along with the emergence of Ethan Payne, I don’t see Laborn surpassing 1,300 yards.

Khalan Laborn: Over/Under 12 touchdowns -- Over. Laborn can beat this number if he stays healthy.

Corey Gammage: Over/Under 1,000 receiving yards -- Under. I think the WR rotation will keep him from doing so.

Corey Gammage: Over/Under 8 touchdowns -- Over. I think we’ll finally see Gammage become the red-zone target we’ve all expected.

Will we rush for over 2000 yards by committee? -- Over. I think the rushing attack will surpass that number reasonably easy.

Eli Neal: Over/Under 100 tackles -- Over. Neal is ready for an even bigger breakout junior season.

Abraham Beauplan: Over/Under 100 tackles -- Over. Beauplan’s approach to his senior season on and off the field has been impressive.

Koby Cumberlander: Over/Under 6 sacks -- Under. The defensive line rotation will not allow him the chances to do so.

Steven Gilmore: Over/Under 5 Ints? -- Maybe. The pressure the defensive front should be able to apply will help give Gilmore added chances.

Will we have a pick six? If so, who and what game? Yes. Andre Sam will have a “pick six” against Bowling Green in the 3rd quarter.

Will we return a kickoff for a touchdown? If so, who and what game? No.

Marshall: Over/Under 9 wins – With no official time frame on Rasheen Ali’s return, I am putting us at eight wins. With a healthy Ali for the entire season, I would have us at nine.

Henry Colombi: Over/Under 2,750 passing yards – Over. Colombi will finish the year with 2,850 yards.

Henry Colombi: Over/Under 20 passing TDs – Under by one. Colombi passes for 19 touchdowns.

Khalan Laborn: Over/Under 1,300 rushing yards – This one is tough, but I’ll go with under. Let’s put Laborn at 1,100 yards.

Khalan Laborn: Over/Under 12 touchdowns – Under. I’ll go with 10 touchdowns.

Corey Gammage: Over/Under 1,000 receiving yards – Over. This is the year Gammage finally breaks out and finishes with 1,227 yards.

Corey Gammage: Over/Under 8 touchdowns – Over. 9 touchdowns.

Will we rush for over 2000 yards by committee? Yes, Laborn and Payne can get us over the 2,000 yard mark with anything Ali adds being gravy.

Eli Neal: Over/Under 100 tackles – Over. 103 tackles

Abraham Beauplan: Over/Under 100 tackles – Under. 94 tackles

Koby Cumberlander: Over/Under 6 sacks – Push. Cumberlander finishes 2022 with six sacks.

Steven Gilmore: Over/Under 5 Ints? Under. Gilmore will have four interceptions.

Will we have a pick six? If so, who and what game? Yes, Jadarius Green-McKinight versus Gardner-Webb.

Will we return a kickoff for a touchdown? If so, who and what game? No.

Marshall: Over/Under 9 wins -- Over. I think that Marshall will win every game on its schedule with the exception of the Notre Dame matchup. Troy has a first year coach and you get UL-Lafayette, Coastal Carolina, App State and Georgia State all at home. That is huge. Troy will be a tough matchup, but as much as I love Jon Sumrall (and he will do fantastic at Troy), it is his first season and it will take time for him to instill the philosophies that he wants in the program. Georgia Southern, with the offense that they run, could give Marshall trouble but I see the Herd putting that game out too in a close one. I see about four or five games that could be decided by a score one way or the other, but four of those are at home -- and that 12th man -- the crowd, is crucial in those instances.

Henry Colombi: Over/Under 2,750 passing yards -- Over. Colombi has a dependable receiving core. Four of the top six receivers return from last year (Corey Gammage, Shadeed Ahmed, Jayden Harrison, Talik Keaton) and with the loss of Ali, Marshall is likely to air it out more to begin the year. Colombi will eclipse 3,000 passing yards.

Henry Colombi: Over/Under 20 passing TDs -- Under. Marshall had 18 touchdowns total through the air and I see that total being about the same. Even though we don't know when the return of Ali will be, I still think the Herd will rely on Laborn and the overall ground game, especially from inside the eight or 10 yard line of the opposition, to score.

Khalan Laborn: Over/Under 1,300 rushing yards -- Under. Laborn hasn't rushed for more than 300 yards in a season and hasn't played a down of college football since 2019. He's going to have some growing pains as he gets back into the flow of live game action. There's a lot of variables that go with this, too -- when does Ali return? If Laborn doesn't play to the staff's liking, does he sit when/if Ali returns? Does Laborn share carries with Ali if/when he returns? For that and more, I'll go under and by a lot.

Khalan Laborn: Over/Under 12 touchdowns -- Push. Because of Laborn's size, he'll be used in a lot of short yardage red zone situations. I see between 10 to 15 touchdowns.

Corey Gammage: Over/Under 1,000 receiving yards -- Over. While four of the top six receivers do return, Gammage is the only one that had more than 500 yards receiving that returns and one of only two that posted more than 400 yards receiving that is returning to the Marshall lineup. Combine that with the running game's uncertainty and I see Gammage in the neighborhood of 88 to 90 catches and between 1,050 to 1,100 yards for the year.

Corey Gammage: Over/Under 8 touchdowns -- Over. I see Gammage as a red zone target and wouldn't be surprised if he had a dozen touchdowns receiving with the increased targets that he'll have. He had eight touchdowns last year receiving -- that number is certainly attainable this year.

Will we rush for over 2000 yards by committee? No. Too many question marks at running back behind Laborn. I'm sure Marshall will have a guy that steps up and rushes for 500 yards IF Ali doesn't return, but football, generally, has become less and less reliant on running backs and with the question marks at the spot, I don't see 2,000 yards on the ground in the cards for the Thundering Herd this year.

Eli Neal: Over/Under 100 tackles -- Over. Neal had 96 tackles a year ago -- I only see his dependability increasing as long as he stays healthy.

Abraham Beauplan: Over/Under 100 tackles -- Over. Beauplan led the team with 110 tackles a year ago. This is easy money to me for the same reasons as above.

Koby Cumberlander: Over/Under 6 sacks -- Over. To me, Cumberlander is the best pro prospect on the entire defense. I love the frame and overall get-off of the line that Cumberlander has. He needs a big year to get on NFL Draft boards, and my anticipation is that he will deliver.

Steven Gilmore: Over/Under 5 Ints? Under. I say three, the same as last year.

Will we have a pick six? If so, who and what game? Steven Gilmore, Coastal Carolina

Will we return a kickoff for a touchdown? If so, who and what game? Jayden Harrison, Troy
