Frazier coming to Marshall to play right away

Brunswick (GA) native Sharrod Frazier joined Marshall's 2018 class this past weekend, giving the Thundering Herd defensive coaches a talented prospect to work with both now and in the future.

"No matter where I would've went I would have worked my way up to play right away," Frazier told HN. "I'm not even thinking about red-shirting."

Frazier is a natural around the line of scrimmage and Marshall coaches have told him he projects as a hybrid SS/OLB in defensive coordinator Adam Fuller's defense. "My primary recruiter Todd Goebell told me they like me in that hybrid position that is real important. I bring speed, aggressiveness and a high football IQ so I feel like I will be a good fit," said Frazier.

Holding offers from schools like Cincinnati, Appalachian State, Tulane, Washington State and Western Kentucky - Frazier recently trimmed his list to two before selecting Marshall over Colorado State.

"Honestly once I arrived on my official visit everything just felt right so I thought why not make this place my home for the next three or four years," Frazier told HN.

According to Frazier, his recruitment will now be shut down and he will sign his LOI on National Signing Day on February 7th.
