Summer camp season right around the corner
In a little more than a week, some of the southeast and midwest's most talented High School football prospects will descend on Joan C. Edwards Stadium for the start of summer camp season at Marshall.
HerdNation.com will be there to cover it all from pre-camp articles to post-camp discussion on the Old Fairfield message board.
If you're a playmaker, don't miss the chance this summer to get valuable exposure and learn from the coaching staff of Phil Steele's Most Improved Team for 2013.
Herd camps offer intense competition and collegiate level instruction.
Recruiting Coordinator Todd Hartley and staff will host only four sessions over four intense days this June. The season kicks off with the Senior Elite Camp on Saturday, June 8th. The following day, Doc Holliday's Camp for all ages will be held. Team and 7 on 7 Camps will wrap up the season on June 11th and 12th.
The Senior Elite Camp is for rising 12th Grade participants only. This one day camp features collegiate level play and development. The camp is structured to offer high intensity training, instruction and elite competition. Registration at the stadium begins at 8 AM sharp on Saturday morning, June the 8th. Registration fee is $60 and includes a camp t-shirt.
Doc Holliday's Camp is open to players of all ages (grades 1-12). Registration begins at 8 AM on Sunday morning, June the 9th. Camp ends at 4 PM. This camp provides a full day of instruction, practice and development from the Marshall coaching staff. Registration fee is $60 and includes a camp t-shirt.
The 7 on 7 and Team Camps are set for June 11th and 12th. These camps are open to High School participants, grades 9-12, with teams of 7 players or more. The one-day tournament is designed to provide elite competition for enhancing the development of your team's passing offense and offensive line play. This staff knows a thing or two about the passing game too. Last season, Marshall's passing offense was ranked no. 1 in Division I college football racking up 4,381 passing yards and 39 touchdowns. Registration begins at the stadium at 8 AM each morning and costs $15 per player.
Camps are filling up quickly but there is still space available, so don't waste any time and register now. Sign up online at HerdZone.com or fill out this Registration Form and mail it to: Marshall Football Camp, PO Box 1360, Huntington WV 25701-1360.
