Marshall (5-3) takes to the field on Sunday night at Bright House Networks Stadium for a nationally televised road conference tilt versus UCF (4-3). The pundits didn't see this one coming before the season started but this game has become a pivotal affair in the C-USA's East division. Both head coaches, the Herd's Mark Snyder and George O'Leary of the Knights, appeared to enter the 2009 on the hotseat but find themselves within striking distance of bowl berths. Marshall has yet to defeat UCF since joining C-USA but the Herd will need a victory if they hope to keep pace for a berth in the conference championship game.
