Tiger signee suffers a setback
Missouri fans in the Show-Me State were hoping to get a look at a future Tiger this coming week. Turns out, they'll have to wait a few months. North Carolina forward Kadeem Green was set to play in this weekend's Bass Pro Tournament of Champions in Springfield. While United Faith Christian Academy will still play, Green won't be in the lineup.
Green ruptured his Achilles' tendon in practice and is set to meet with an orthopedist on Monday morning to get a further diagnosis. The first doctor told Green that the recovery time should be about six months. The determination will be made this week whether to have surgery, but Green is leaning that direction. He said he spoke with the Missouri coaches shortly after the injury.
For now, Green will focus on his recovery and continue to follow the Tigers' season. PowerMizzou.com will follow up with Green later this spring to check on his progress.
