Marianna (Fla.) Chipola J.C. power forward Steadman Short committed to Marshall on Tuesday morning over offers from Colorado, West Virginia, Louisiana-Lafayette, and Oklahoma among others. Short, the first player to commit to the Thundering Herd in the 2010 recruiting class, visited Marshall two weeks ago on an official visit and it was that visit that sealed the deal for the 6-foot-9, 215-pound forward.
